Nilgiri Line Washed away
About 20 landslides have been reported in Nilgiris district since 27.10.2009 cutting off this tourist town from other areas. This hill town has been totally cut off from the highways leading from Mysore, Kerala and also Coimbatore due to landslides. The Railway line is totally un operational and no movement will happen until restoration work is compleated.
