Trial of Steam loco on Pathankot-Joginder nagar NG section

The first Steam trial run of ZB 66 Loco was set to commence from Pathankot station to Jogindarnagar station, the famous Kangra Valley Line on Tuesday 07 march 2017 has failed. This news has been shared by a local newspaper "Dainik Bhaskar" in Pathankot. On the contrary few other local newspapaers have published that the trial run has gone successful but no official confirmation whether the locomotive could reach Jogindarnagar is shared by the Railways.

According to one of the local newspaper "Punjab kesri - Himachal" The Railway staff from various divisions had gathered in Pathankot for the Trial of the ZB 66. On Tuesday, they installed the Steam injector and did various tests with it and checked for the steam formation and even ran the engine for a short distance within the premises with coaches attached.

Naming list of Four Loco drivers has been prepared and were told to be ready for further instructions. Two drivers will be selected for the final run. The detailed report of this trial has been submitted the higher authorities and further instructions are awaited for the next trial.
