This tour covers the most popular destinations of Northern India including the tree-lined boulevards of the capital city o f New Delhi, the bustling bazaars of Old Delhi, the palaces and forts of Jaipur and the dreamlike Taj Mahal in Agra. An extension takes you to the erotic temples of Khajuraho and to Varanasi, the oldest living city in the world. It is an ideal tour for a stopover in Delhi en route from the Far East or Australia, as an extension to a conference or a business meeting in Delhi, or as a start for a longer tour of the country.

DELHI-JAIPUR-AGRA-DELHI  (5 days Tour)

DAY 1 Delhi-Jaipur DELHI-02_tn
Morning leave for Jaipur by private car stopping en route to see the Amber Fort, climbing to the fort on elephant back. On arrival in Jaipur late afternoon check into your Hotel.

DAY 2 Jaipur
Morning tour the city including the City Palace, Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal, and the Museum. Afternoon free to explore the colourful bazaars.

DAY 3 Jaipur - Agra
Morning leave for Agra in your car. En route stop over at Bharatpur for lunch at the Forest Lodge and to see the bird sanctuary. Carry on to Fatehpur Sikri to see the fortified city built by Akbar. Reach Agra in the evening and check into your hotel.

DAY 4 Agra
Morning tour the city and see the wonderful Taj Mahal, the Fort, and Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb. Afternoon free.

DAY 5 Agra-Delhi
Morning at leisure. Afternoon drive back to Delhi.

Khajuraho ­Varanasi Extension Tour (3 DAYS)

DAY 5 Agra-Khajuraho
Morning enjoy a short train ride to Jhansi. From here transfer to a car and travel to Khajuraho visiting Orcha en route. Orcha, once the capital of Bundela Rajputs, is dotted with palaces and temples. On arrival in Khajuraho check into your hotel.

DAY 6 Khajuraho - Varanasi
Morning visit the famous Chandela Dynasty temples, known for their intricate and erotic sculptures. Midday fly to Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world and a centre of pilgrimage for Hindus. Afternoon free.

DAY 7 Varanasi
Early Morning enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges and observe the rituals performed by devotees on the banks of the Ganges. Then visit the temples in the city and drive to Sarnath where Gautam Buddha delivered his first sermon and set in motion the Wheel of Law of the Buddhist faith.

DAY 8 Varanasi - Delhi
Morning free. Afternoon fly back to Delhi and transfer to your hotel.
