TOUR DESTINATIONS

DELHI-SRINAGAR - DELHI
(4 days) and Extention

DAY 1 Delhi-Srinagar
Transfer from your hotel in Delhi to fly to Srinagar. On arrival transfer to a deluxe houseboat.

DAY 2 Srinagar
The morning sightseeing covers the famous Moghul gardens including the Chesmashahi, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. Visit the old city in the afternoon.

DAY 3 Srinagar-Gulmarg
After breakfast travel by road to Gulmarg and check in at Hotel Highlands Park (8500 ft). Afternoon at leisure. Gulmarg, the "Meadow of flowers", has one of the highest natural golf courses in the world and offers excellent views of the peak, Nanga Parbat. It is ideal for long walks.

DAY 4 Gulmarg
At leisure in Gulmarg.

DAY 5 Gulmarg - Pahalgam
Morning leave by road for Pahalgam visiting Avantipur ruins and Maartand sun temples en route. On arrival check-in at Hotel Pahalgam. Pahalgam is a valley of enchanting beauty with the Lidder and Sheshnag streams flowing through, ideal for trout fishing.

DAY 6 Pahalgam
At leisure.

DAY 7 Pahalgam - Srinagar
After breakfast drive to Srinagar and return to your house boat. Remainder of the day is free.

DAY 8 Srinagar
Morning enjoy a “shikara” ride on the Dal lake. The remainder of the day is free to see carpet weaving or shopping.

DAY 9 Srinagar - Delhi
Morning free. Afternoon fly back to Delhi and transfer to your hotel.

LADAKH EXTENSION

DAY 8 Srinagar - Kargil
Leave Srinagar by road for Leh. The two day journey is by one of the most spectacular mountain highways in the world. This road climbs up to Zoji la (11500 ft) beyond which the landscape turns barren and lunar. Overnight halt is at Hotel Broadway Suru View in Kargil.

DAY 9 Kargil - Leh
Continue by road to Leh climbing to the cold and windy Fatu la (13500 ft). Arrive Leh and check into Hotel.

DAY 10 Leh
Leh is a fascinating labyrinth of winding streets and bazaars with the majestic Leh Palace looming above the main street. Afternoon visit Leh town and the Shankar Gompa.

DAY 11 Leh
Excursion to Shey, Thikse and Hemis gompas or monasteries.

DAY 12 Leh
Day at leisure for an optional raft trip on the Indus river, or a day trek.

DAY 13 Leh - Delhi
Fly to Delhi, over the snow¬capped Himalayas, and transfer to your hotel.

WHEN TO TRAVEL: From March through November for Kashmir; mid-June to mid-October for Ladakh.

WHAT TO WEAR: Kashmir - Cottons during the day. Light woolens in the evenings. Ladakh - Heavy woolens.
